What dates is the Lights on the Hill Memorial Convoy Weekend on?

Saturday the September 30th and Sunday the 1st October 2017

 

Where is this years event?

At the Gatton Show Grounds.

 

What time do the gates at the Gatton Show Grounds open?

9.30 am Saturday the 30th September and Sunday the 1st of October. The Memorial Service will also be shown on the big screen at the Show Grounds on Sunday and the market/food stalls will be open.

 

What are the admission prices?

Adults (16+) – $25

Pensioners – $15

Children (6-15) – $15

Family (2 adults + 2 children) $65

 

Can we pre-purchase admission tickets?

The only way to do this is by entering a vehicle into the convoy online and buying additional tickets then.

 

Can I register my vehicle for the convoy on the day?

Yes. There will be a registration point at both departure points- Roaches Road, Withcott and Citiswitch Business Park, Bundamba.

 

What is the route for the trucks from the departure points to Gatton?
Both convoys will be turning onto the Warrego Highway from their departure points. They then turn off the highway at Eastern Drive and travel straight to the Show Grounds in Gatton.

 

Can I take my vehicle in the convoy?

Private or business vehicles can go in the convoy. Truck, Ute, car or bike are all $50 entry fee into the convoy.

Are you capping numbers of trucks?

NO! We are certainly not capping numbers.

 

Can we bring our animal/pet? Eg. Dog, cat, bird, snake

The only animal we allow is certified assistance animals. No other animals are allowed.

 

Is glass allowed?

No.

 

Where can we camp?

The Gatton Caravan Park are currently taking bookings. There is no camping on site this year.

For motorhomes and caravans, there is also the old swimming pool site at 23 East Street, Gatton. It is free but there are no amenities.

 

What should we bring?

We advise a hat and sunscreen but other items like umbrella, rug, chair etc for seating in front of the stage to watch all the live music.

 

Will artists be doing signings this year?

Yes. Artist signing times will be announced by our MC and there will be a full list advertised.  

 

Will there be a truck show?

Yes. Every truck that enters the convoy goes in the truck show. Trophies sponsored by LINX will be presented on Saturday afternoon on the main stage.  

 

Will there be a ute show?

No. You can still register and participate in the convoy but there will not be a ute show.

 

Can we come to watch the NRL grand final on Sunday?

Yes. After the memorial service at Lake Apex we will be returning to the Show Grounds where the bar, rides, stalls etc will be open and the game will be shown on the big screen as well as live music.

 

Is the Memorial Service at Lake Apex free to attend?

The Memorial Service is free for everyone to attend and honour those who have a plaque place on the wall.

 

Can we place our own flowers at the Memorial service?

LOTH does supply 2 wreaths to honour those who are being placed upon the wall. If you would like to bring your own as well, please feel free too.

 

Can we park our trucks at the Memorial Service?

Yes, however spaces are limited so it is best to book via lightsonthehill@live.com.au
